eSys Technologies, the fastest growing IT component distribution network in the world, has announced its plans to strengthen its presence in the Middle East markets by aggressively promoting ‘eSys PCs’, its brand of low cost PCs. The company will showcase the ‘eSys’ range of PCs at GITEX Dubai 2005, to be held from September 25-29 at Dubai World Trade Center. The eSys PC is set to create an entirely new category of low-cost PCs and is expected to be a major driver in the expansion of the Middle East PC market.

The most attractive feature of eSys PCs is its low price compared to other global brands, without compromising on quality and performance. The PCs combine high flexibility and reliability, and are designed to meet specific customer requirements in corporate as well as home computing environments.

“There has been a steady increase in the PC penetration rates in the Middle East, especially because of the rapid growth the region has been witnessing and due to the eGovernment initiatives and digitization efforts of the government,” said Pavan Gupta, General Manager, eSys Technologies, Middle East. “This has created a huge demand for low cost PCs from consumers who are looking for value for money options and we aim to target this segment with eSys PCs. GITEX Dubai gives us an excellent opportunity to reach out to our target audience, considering the popularity and scope of the event.”

eSys Technologies has a manufacturing facility at Jebel Ali Free Zone in Dubai. With a capacity to produce 30,000 PCs a month, the facility targets buyers requiring a minimum of 1000 PCs and provides competitively priced, hassle-free PC assembly for manufacturers wishing to outsource their manufacturing requirements. Apart from eSys PCs, the company has its range of white box PCs (Linux-based or Windows-based) that could be branded with the buyer’s brand. With an option of Windows and Linux operating systems, the PCs would also provide economies of scale for customers with budgetary concerns, for example, in the secondary education field.

eSys introduced the concept of assembly lines for high quality, competitively priced PCs in several international markets in 2002, carving out a market-niche midway between expensive branded PCs and local assemblers. The company was also the first to introduce low cost complete multimedia PCs available at just over US$ 200 in the global markets.

As the leading global distributor for many of the IT component manufacturers such as Seagate, Western Digital and Maxtor Hard Drives, eSys Technologies will also showcase the latest components entering the global markets in 2005 at GITEX.
