Members of the European Union’s Parliament revamped the proposal regarding the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

Instead of calling for the recognition of a “Palestinian” state, it was agreed upon by the Parliament members to word the proposal as such: “The European Union supports, in principle, the recognition of a ‘Palestinian’ state and a two-state solution, and believes that such steps must take place simultaneously in order to further peace talks.”
