Ex-French prime minister Lionel Jospin dies at 88

ALBAWABA - Lionel Jospin, a former Prime Minister in France, died at the age of 88, his family told AFP.

Jospin is a Socialist who headed the French government from 1997 to 2002. He passed away on Sunday, his family told AFP today.

The former prime minister underwent a "serious operation" in January, his family revealed without providing more details.
