Explorer Publishing scoops KPMG Business Growth Award
After being shortlisted from 90 applicants for the Lloyds TSB Small Business Awards, leading publisher Explorer Publishing were awarded the KPMG Business Growth Award at an award ceremony held at Emirates Towers on Alistair MacKenzie, Publisher, Explorer Publishing comments: “It is great to receive recognition for our growth – thanks to the hard work and determination of the Explorer team. Since 1995 we have grown from a three-man operation to a team of over 70, with more than 100 titles in print, covering 24 cities worldwide.“
“We have grown exponentially in the last two years, with 135% growth in title output and a 45% increase in production – we look forward to future growth and strengthening our brand worldwide.”
The Small Business Awards were established by Lloyds TSB Dubai in 2006 to recognise, support and reward entrepreneurs who have developed successful businesses and have become role models in their respective sectors. A further aim of the Lloyds TSB Small Business Awards is to raise awareness of the importance and significance of small businesses to the UAE economy.
Having experienced huge growth in the past few years, Explorer Publishing is set to continue expanding, both in terms of its publishing schedule and alternative media platforms. The end of the 2008 will see the launch of Explorer’s online platform and in 2009 they will establish a new contract publishing division and digital mapping services.
