Extreme Networks, Inc has recently announced the appointment of Roland Richter as the new Vice President of Sales for the Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and the Latin Americas region. Richter brings to Extreme Networks® twenty five years of sales and business management experience with leading communication and technology companies, including Avaya and Novell.
Richter will lead Extreme Networks direct sales teams and support regional channel partners to provide intelligent network solutions that offer insight and control for both enterprise and service provider customers.

Richter was previously the vice president and general manager for Avaya’s high growth markets business in Europe, with a focus on intelligent communications and IP telephony applications for both business and telecommunications carriers. Prior to Avaya, Richter served in general management, sales and channel leadership positions with Novell, Inc. in Europe, including his role as vice president, EMEA, where he oversaw the business for the region. Prior to this, he was director and vice president of Channel Sales in EMEA for Novell, where he cultivated a strong channel partner base in the region and achieved measurable sales results.
