Falconcity of Wonders supports local events organized by Emiratis
Mega project is sponsoring conference of Handicapped Guardian’s Association later this month
Falconcity of Wonders (FCW) is supporting non-governmental organizations that are being managed by Emiratis as part of its social commitment as a corporate citizen.
FCW recently signed up as sponsor of the Handicapped Guardian’s Association (HGA) which will be conducting a regional conference on supporting handicapped families on March 25 and 26 at the Sharjah University.
Last December, FCW co-sponsored the Fine Arts Exhibition and Charity event organized by the HGA. The event showcased paintings done by more than 80 individuals with special needs. The paintings were sold to guests as a fund-raising activity.
The HGA was established in 1996 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Ruler of Sharjah and member of the UAE Supreme Council. It provides services for children with special needs. It also provides social and psychological support for the children’s parents.
In January this year, FCW supported the 6th Dubai International Ladies Volleyball Championships organized by Shaikha Shamsa Bint Hashr Al Maktoum, who is a member of the UAE Volleyball Association's board of directors and ladies committee chairperson.
The UAE team members have benefitted and gained considerable experience by playing with world class teams coming from different parts of the world.
FCW also complements the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, to turn Dubai into one of the leading tourist destinations in the world.
The mega project within Dubailand features structures based on famous sites and the architectural marvels of the world, such as the Pyramids, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the Eiffel Tower, the Taj Mahal and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The city is shaped to represent the falcon, emblematic of the UAE's heritage.
