ALBAWABA - According to American media sources, a shooting at a Georgia high school resulted in the deaths of two people and the injuries of four more.

Following a report of an active shooter at Apalachee High School in Winder, North Georgia, on Wednesday, officials reportedly captured a suspect, according to CNN.

The Barrow County Sheriff's Office attested to the fact that many law enforcement organizations were sent to the location. FBI agents were also sent in to support local officials in their continuing probe.

Following reports of gunfire on Tuesday at about 11:30 AM local time, authorities acted quickly at Apalachee High School.

Police secured the perimeter and limited access to and from the school as soon as they received the notice.

Video from the site shows the entire array of emergency services, including at least five ambulances, police, and fire trucks positioned close by. A victim with gunshot wounds was flown by helicopter to the hospital.

Families of the pupils who had congregated on the school's athletic field were securely reunited with them. Numerous people with gunshot wounds have been hospitalized for treatment, according to local hospitals.

Although specific information has not yet been made public by official sources, authorities are aggressively looking into the matter.
