The first Internet cafe in Fujairah, located on the UAE's east coast, has opened in the Rock n' Roll Cafe.
Gulf News daily reports that the cafe, located on the roof-top of the Dana Plaza cinema, contains 15 terminals and is open for more than 18 hours a day. Browsing costs Dh10 an hour. ''We are trying to attract a large number of people and get them to use their leisure time profitability,'' Naeem Abbas Barak Janari, director of the Fujairah Internet Cafe told the newspaper. So far, national students have been the biggest users, who can download and print files at the cafe. Janari said he intends to install 50 more terminals as demand increases. Furthermore, a women's section will be opened soon. (Dh3.67=$1).
