An explosion Saturday in a car near Gaza City killed three Palestinians, according to a Palestinian hospital official.

The blast in the al-Zahra neighborhood, on the outskirts of Gaza City not far from the settlement of Netzarim, was caused by a missile fired either from an Israeli tank or a helicopter.

Earlier, Israeli occupation forces killed on Saturday a Palestinian girl in the Gaza Strip city of Rafah, Medical sources and Witnesses said. They reported that Halima abu-Smhadana 16, was instantly killed after being shot with several live bullets in her chest.

Meanwhile, Palestinian security sources told WAFA that a Palestinian captain was injured when Israeli tanks and helicopters opened heavy machine gunfire at civilian houses in Beit-Hanoun, North of Gaza strip. They added that Nemer Basheer 30, was injured with a live bullet in her left foot.

On the political front, President Yasser Arafat considered on Friday night the decision of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Israeli construction of the west Bank wall a victory to the Palestinian people in particular and to all free nations in general.

In a press conference in his besieged headquarters in Ramallah, Arafat said that this decision is a victory to the justice in the holy and peace land.

He also expressed his absolute trust on the International law and on the court in Hague, announcing that the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) will pursue discussions with its friends in order to continue this matter in the General Assembly.

In a statement issued after Arafat headed on Friday an urgent meeting for the PLO Executive Committee and different Palestinian organizations, it was said "The ICJ's decision exposures and refutes all the Israeli claims about the Wall being built for security reasons. On contrary, the decision reveals that the Apartheid Wall only jeopardizes stability, peace and security allover the region.” (albawaba.com)
