Two Palestinians died by a blast along the Gaza Strip border with Israel on Saturday, Palestinian ambulance staff said. According to Reuters, the circumstances of the explosion were initially unclear but an Israeli army spokesman said that its forces were not involved and that there had not been any military activity in the area in the past few hours.
An Israeli news report said the two may have been killed when an explosive device they were preparing exploded while they were handling it.
