Interior ministers of Germany's 16 states Thursday called for a ban on the neo-Nazi National Democratic Party (NPD) for alleged anti-democratic activities.
Fourteen states voted in favor of asking the Constitutional Court to impose the ban.
Two states, Hesse and Saarland, both ruled by the oppositionh conservative Christian Democratic Union opposed the move -- DUESSELDORF (AFP)
