The Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) Dubai 2007, the Middle East’s leading education exhibition, is gearing up to offer a one stop platform for education providers, vocational training programs and didactic technology vendors to liaise and network with students, investors and professionals. The 19th edition of the region’s premier education showcase is attracting the world’s leading education providers, reputed manufacturers and suppliers of educational technology, equipment and services besides major players in the region’s expanding education sector to the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from April 11-14th, 2007.
“GETEX has developed into one of the world’s leading education exhibitions. The exhibition’s high quality of visitors and diversity of exhibitors have helped it cement its credentials as the premier education and training event in the regional calendar. The 19th edition of GETEX is gearing up to be the most comprehensive yet, with an extended line up of exhibitors addressing emerging needs in education, training and technology,” said Anselm Godinho, Managing Director of IC&E, the organisers of the exhibition.
GETEX 2007 will be three part exhibitions that will not only fulfill its traditional role as the most comprehensive regional platform showcasing an array of diverse, international study options, but will also expand its Technology and Didactic Materials (Gulf Education & Training Equipment & Technology), and Corporate Training & Human Resource Development segments.
GETEX’s Technology and Didactic Materials segment offers didactic technology providers a platform to showcase learning technology to regional investors, helping develop business networks between international didactic technology vendors and regional educational and vocational institutes.
“The region’s rapid strides in education have catalyzed a fast-growing market for technological tools to facilitate learning. The introduction of high-quality institutions of international repute, coupled with an education-friendly environment promoted by governmental incentives, have placed the region on the cusp of witnessing record levels of investment in education infrastructure and technology,” said. Godinho
The exhibition’s Corporate Training and Human Resource segment debuted in GETEX 2006 and generated considerable interest among the national human resource development organisations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and other Gulf countries. The segment offers a convergence of training and human resource development programmes as organizations and individuals look to maximize potential in competitive Middle Eastern markets.
“The UAE’s competitive job market, has led to a huge demand for training and development resources from the corporate sector and from individuals seeking to better their career prospects. Human resource departments of business organisations too are allocating bigger budgets for customised personnel training programmes to stay competitive,” commented Godinho.

Lastly, the exhibition’s traditional education platform will bring an extended line up of exhibitors offering a targeted portfolio of academic courses to students in the region. GETEX 2007 is seeing an increasing number of US and Australian universities to 40+, while national pavilions have not just increased in number but have also grown at an average of 15 percent in size.
“The provision of education options from international exhibitors has always been one of GETEX’s mainstays. The 2007 exhibition will offer a comprehensive spectrum of topical educational options from an estimated 550+ exhibitors tailored to regional trends and market needs,” Godinho concluded.
The Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) is the largest education fair in the Middle East region.
