The International Jewellery and Watch Show (JWS Abu Dhabi) 2010 announced today that the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) will host a series of seminars that will be held alongside the exhibition. The GIA will conduct 11 seminars across the four days of the event, focusing on styles, treatments, and purchase of gems and diamonds. The seminars will be offered free of cost and will be open to all visitors to the exhibition.
JWS 2010 is set to bring together nearly 150 exhibitors from over 20 countries at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from November 10 to 14, 2010. JWS 2010 is being held in association with Pearl Revival Committee with the GIA acting as Technical Partner. Topics for the seminars range from introduction to diamonds, gemstones and pearls to treatment of diamonds and gems as well as dedicated segments for jewellery designing and disclosure in jewellery retail businesses. Seminars on Bedouin jewellery styles have also been planned.
"JWS 2010 is already bringing together almost all the leading jewellery brands from across the world in Abu Dhabi and the addition of such informative sessions ensures that visitors at the exhibition have a truly memorable experience," said Raya Dandal, Deputy Show Manager at Reed Exhibitions, which is organizing the event. "Our offerings each year have been in alignment with feedback gained at the previous edition of the exhibition. In this regard, we are confident that the unique mix of information and exclusive product assortment will be much valued by our patrons and visitors."
In line with the profile of the exhibition and to provide a more relaxed environment to visitors, the second day of JWS 2010 has been scheduled as Ladies Day. Consequently, visitor timings for on November 11 will be from 10am to 4pm, with female visitors being granted exclusive access. On the remaining days, the exhibition will be open for visitors from 4pm to 10pm.
"At JWS, we have continued and strengthened our tradition of exclusivity for ladies. The scheduling of a Ladies Day not only offers our women patrons a dedicated time slot but also a more private and relaxed environment to make optimal use of their visit," said Raya.
JWS's exhibitor suite has also grown richer with the participation of Glory Art Gallery at the exhibition. JWS Abu-Dhabi 2010 will bring on display world-class designs and up-to-the-minute collections from jewelers and designers across the globe.
