GIB appoints Fadel Almeer as country head for KSA operations

Gulf International Bank (GIB) has announced the appointment of Mr. Fadel AlMeer as Country Head for the Bank’s operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Manager of the Riyadh Branch.

Mr. AlMeer, a Saudi Arabian national, has extensive experience in many banking fields, including corporate banking, project finance, syndications, facility structuring and corporate relationship management. He joins GIB from National Commercial Bank where he served for 14 years in various assignments, the last of which was Chief Corporate Banker in the Institutional Banking Group. Prior to that, Mr. AlMeer worked with AlBank AlSaudi AlFransi.

The Bank has a good franchise in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which represents its largest market in the GCC. I believe there is great potential for expanding the Bank’s business in the kingdom in the coming years,” said Mr. AlMeer.
