Bahrain based Global Aviation Services Co. W.L.L (GAS), the Middle East’s leading aviation material supply solutions and services company, has announced its appointment as the region’s exclusive distributor of B/E Aerospace Consumables Management, formerly known as
M & M Aerospace Hardware, Inc. and Honeywell Consumables Solutions (HCS).  The announcement was made during the 48th International Paris Air Show- Le Bourget, France.

Mr. John Smith, CEO/COO of Global Aviation Services stated, “We are extremely excited to have been appointed as the exclusive distributor for B/E Aerospace in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen.  This strategic alliance will further strengthen the aviation industry in the region and will for the first time shorten the supply chain for vital parts being delivered to Operators and MROs allowing them to benefit from both time and cost savings.  Global Aviation Services’ local knowledge, presence and footprint in the region coupled with B/E Aerospace’s expertise as the world’s leading distributor of aviation hardware products, creates the perfect partnership. ”

He continued, “The regional aviation market with its recent reforms is growing at a rapid rate.  New market entrants have intensified the competition.  Furthermore, recent global phenomena such as rising fuel prices, inflation and recession have all contributed to the rethinking of procurement and inventory philosophies.   Global Aviation Services has developed specific models to serve and enhance these new outlooks.  The strategic alliance with B/E Aerospace is the first of many programs that Global Aviation Services is rolling out to serve this specific purpose.”

Mr. Klaus Brod, Regional Sales Director of B/E Aerospace stated, “We are pleased to forge this strategic alliance with Global Aviation Services.  This is a significant opportunity for B/E Aerospace to increase its presence in the rapidly growing Middle Eastern market.   Given its unique geographical location in the heart of the Arabian Gulf, Global Aviation Services is the ideal partner in the region.  We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with GAS.  Our goal is to better serve our discerning customers in the MENA region.”

The assignment of Global Aviation Services is designed to shorten the supply chain with regards to aviation hardware materials for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Yemen.  By having material stationed in a central depot in the Bahrain, it can be easily dispatched to Saudi Arabia and Yemen, therefore shortening delivery lead times, and reducing transportation cost.  The shortening of the supply chain improves customer service and is a solution to time and cost constraints traditionally experienced by aviation customers worldwide.  This will also enable air operators to reduce their hardware inventory stocks thereby contributing immeasurably to cost and inventory reductions.
