ALBAWABA - The Global Sumud Flotilla, which is heading to Gaza to break the siege, announced that it is continuing its journey to the Palestinian territories despite the Israeli Navy intercepting a number of its boats.

The Turkish delegation in the Global Sumud Flotilla announced that Israeli naval forces arrested 25 Turkish activists from the flotilla's ships, after illegally seizing them, Al Jazeera reported.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry reported that its forces stopped "several ships." Meanwhile, the flotilla spokesman, Saif Abu Keshek, said the number of boats seized by Israel reached 13, and they were carrying a total of 200 people.

The statement added that the Israeli Navy stormed 15 ships in the flotilla and arrested 25 Turkish activists from several participating vessels, including the Sirius, Alma, Spectre, Hugh I, Deir Yassin I, and Grande Blue.

Among the passengers participating in this movement whose boats were intercepted was Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, who appeared in a video released by Israeli authorities gathering personal belongings surrounded by armed men.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry stated that the participants in the flotilla are on their way to Israel, adding that procedures will begin for their deportation to Europe.
