Grand Mills to Exhibit Interactive Bakery Counter at Gulf Food 2009
Creates a live counter to highlight the versatility of its products at the mega event.
Grand Mills, the fully owned and operated entity of AGTHIA Group PJSC, is a proud participant at Gulfood 2009, to be held from February 23-26, 2009. The company is set to exhibit a live bakery counter at Airport Expo Dubai, during Gulfood 2009, which will highlight the versatility of Grand Mills products. The counter will showcase variety of flour categories: Frozen Dough, Traditional Flour, Specialty Flour, Flour Mixes, all in exciting new packages.
Keeping the need for wholesome and fresh products in mind, Grand Mills offers a range of flours to provide healthy solutions, which will be available at Gulfood 2009.The live counter will prove to be an excellent opportunity for visitors to familiarize themselves with the latest offerings from Grand Mills and they can enjoy the various bakery products produced and distributed by the company at the venue, thereby validating the outstanding quality and taste-establishing a clear preference for the consumer with the promise of good health. This will be an interactive exercise for the company towards becoming an integral part of our lives.

GRAND MILLS FOR FLOUR AND FEED COMPANY

Since its inception in 1978, Grand Mills has pioneered in the flour milling and feed industry development in the Gulf region. The flour manufacturing facility, which is conveniently located at Port Zayed in Abu Dhabi, boasts an impressive capacity of 260 metric tons per annum. The range has been expanded and has become quite diversified, and these initiatives have redefined the product category being offered by Grand Mills. Keeping in mind the company’s progressive vision, it has also entered into a strategic partnership with a leading Greek manufacturer of flour and bakery products – Allatini Group. This alliance will facilitate transfer of technical know-how from Allatini S.A., a publicly quoted world leader in bread making and confectionary sectors, in operation since 1836. The company also specializes in frozen dough and operates a chain of retail bakeries and café outlets.

The animal feed mill which started production in 1981 produces 70 types of animal feed products and formulations, with a capacity of 325,000 metric tons. Among its 300 customers, Grand Mills feed products are predominately sold to animal farms and local markets, making it number one in the domestic market. The company has more than 300 employees.
