GREAT Properties, a UAE-based real estate agency, has officially become a member of Emirates Environmental Group’s (EEG) Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Network.

Established in 2004, the EEG’s CSR Network works closely with the government and corporate sectors to promote sustainable development in the UAE – to date there are over 50 government, semi-government and private organisations as members. The Network is also endorsed by the UAE’s Federal Environmental Agency and the United Nations.

“GREAT Properties has established a firm commitment to support environmental awareness initiatives as well as projects across the UAE and the region. We are living in a critical time for the environment and we need to spread the message to ensure planet earth is habitable for future generations,” said Mohamed Al Zarah, vice president of GREAT Properties.

Al Zarah explained that any environmental initiative, no matter how small, has a bigger and noticeable effect in the long run. He also re-affirmed GREAT Properties’ long-term partnership with EEG and pledged to support future campaigns as an official member of the CSR Network.

In the past first few years the CSR Network’s focus was to encourage members to take an active part in shaping and developing the network, documenting best practices, creating tools and resources, and organising workshops and training sessions. This year, the Network will focus on enabling companies to fully maximise their potential by embedding CSR within their business strategies to further drive the CSR movement in the UAE.

GREAT Properties already has several environmental initiatives in place including the distribution of re-usable GREAT USE RE USE shopping bags and recyclable diaries.
