Gulf Air becomes the official carrier of BITE 2007 once again

Gulf Air, the airline with the largest network in the Middle East, will, once again, be the official carrier of Bahrain International Travel Expo (BITE 2007) to be held from 8 to 10 May at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre.

The sponsorship agreement to this effect was signed today by Gulf Air Vice President Marketing and Sales Mr Lee Shave and the organiser of the event, Magnum Events and Exhibitions Management (MEEM) Chairman Mr Hisham Al Baradie at Gulf Air headquarters.

"Gulf Air is proud to associate with BITE for the second year in a row," says Lee Shave.

"As the national carrier of the Kingdom, carrying the largest number of passengers in and out of Bahrain, we see ourselves as an integral part of the Kingdom's ever expanding tourism sector; actively involving ourselves in many and various leisure travel related activities happening across Bahrain."

"We were also encouraged by the success of BITE 2006, which served as an essential fillip to the region's tourism by providing an ideal ‘shopping platform’ for the members of the trade and the consumers."

Gulf Air has been part of this popular annual event that showcases current travel trends and new emerging destinations around the world. Gulf Air will have a dedicated premium pavilion at the entrance of BITE 2007, offering visitors a wide range of holiday packages and other products.

Last year, the event attracted more than 80 companies from 27 countries and turn out of around 17000 visitors from the G.C.C. countries, and we are confident that this year there will be more visitors," concludes Mr. Al Baradie.
