Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s private plane was purchased from the Moroccan air force, reported Haaretz newspaper Monday.
It said that the Boeing 707 has been refurbished to operate as a new Israel Air Force One plane for the prime minister’s use.
The remodeled plane includes an advanced communications system, a bedroom, and seating arrangements “clearly reflecting the pecking order in Sharon’s office,” said the paper.
The first four seats are reserved for Sharon, his son Omri, office manager Uri Shani and Director-General Rafi Peled, while on the other side are seats for Lio Shvankelstein, Sharon’s personal aide, National Security Agency boss, Uzi Dayan, Israel’s army liaison officer Gadi Eisenkoff, and cabinet secretary Gideon Saar – Albawaba.com
