Haas Faces Squillari in BMW Open Finals

Germany's third-seeded Tommy Haas ousted Sweden's top-seeded Thomas Enqvist (7-6, 1-6, 6-4) in the semifinal round of the BMW Open Saturday in Munich. 

Haas dismantled Enqvist in three powerful sets, becoming the first German in five years to reach the BMW Open since Michael Stich in 1995. 

The twenty-two year old will face Argentina's Franco Squillari who destroyed Belarus' Max Mirnyi (6-2, 6-4) in just 73 minutes of the semifinal Sunday. 


Safin to play Tillstrom in Mallorca Open finals 

Fourth-seeded Russian Marat Safin ruined Spaniard Galo Blanco's chances of making it to the finals of the Mallorca Open when he was whipped (6-2, 6-2) in Saturday's semifinal in Spain.  

While, unseeded Swede Mikael Tillstrom toppled sixth-seeded Argentine Mariano Puerta (3-6, 7-5, 6-1). 

Twenty-year old Safin, a two-time titlist, will confront twenty-eight year old Tillstrom, seeking his second crown, in the final of the $475,000 ATP Tour event Sunday.  




It will be a Chilean clay court final this year as sixth-seeded Chilean Nicolas Massu triumphed over qualifier Ramon Delgado (6-4, 6-4) in the semifinals of the US Men's Clay Court Championship in Orlando Saturday. 

Fellow Chilean Fernando Gonzales also outduelled his opponent, Argentina's Martin Rodriguez (6-0, 3-6, 7-5) to secure a place in the finals on Sunday. 

Twenty-year old Massu and nineteen-year old Gonzales will be competing in the youngest final of the ATP $46,000 Tour this season -(Several Sources).
