The heirs to the late mega-star, Abdul Halim Hafez’s estate have asked for 14 million Egyptian pounds in return for the sale of their shares in the singer’s company Sawt El Fan (Sound of Arts).

Hafez had established the company with colleagues, fellow mega-star Mohammad Abdul Wahab, and lawyer Majdi Al Amrousi.

The Hermes Investment Company had bought the shares of Mohammad Abdul Wahab for 4 million Egyptian pounds. Al Amrousi denied his participation in the sale. The press, however, reported that the lawyer had in fact sold his 20% share of the company, a percent which excludes the last owners who inherited Hafez’s shares.

However, Hafez’s heirs, who own a total of 40% of the company, have decided not to settle for less than 14 million - Albawaba.com.
