Director Hani Lasheen has announced that the last shots for his latest series Al Bahar Mondi (Sailor Mondi), will be shot underwater, reported ‘AL Jumhuriah’ daily newspaper.
The director stated that the shooting, which took place ‘in’ the Red Sea, next to the Sharq El Naqa area in Ghardaqa, and on the shores of Alexandria, were ‘exhileratingly beautiful.’
In an interview with ‘Al Jumhuriah,’ Lasheen said that “this scene is the meeting place of love and an adventure under water which takes places in Alexandria and the Jabal Tarek area.”
“I filmed the love scenes between Nirmeen Al Faq and Ahmad Abdul Aziz in Alexandria,” he explained, adding that the story depicts the life of a simple girl and a boy, who becomes a national hero in Alexandria.”
Added Lasheen, “all the actors are very good at swimming and scuba diving.”
“As for the Jabal Tarek scenes, Ahmad Abdul Aziz had to act out the scenes where he destroys the English army camp in a fight for revenge. He swims below a Greek ship to get to the camp,” he added.
Lasheen said that he is very close to finalizing the editing of the series and it will definitely be aired during the next Ramamdan season.
