Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, the Middle East’s premier international fashion magazine, will stage the second Harper’s Bazaar Fortnight of Fashion between 7th-20th October 2010 at The Dubai Mall.

As the only luxury shopping festival in the region, the Harper’s Bazaar Fortnight of Fashion will include two weeks of catwalk shows and new-season previews in the region’s fashion capital, The Dubai Mall, the flagship development of Emaar Malls Group and  the world’s largest shopping mall. The event will also include an Andy Warhol exhibition, marking the artist’s collaboration with Harper’s Bazaar in his early years as a freelance fashion illustrator. Budding young illustrators are invited to follow in Warhol’s footsteps and enter the Harper’s Bazaar Young Fashion Illustrator of the Year competition and win the chance to become a contributor to Harper’s Bazaar Arabia.

Mr Nasser Rafi, Chief Executive Officer, Emaar Malls Group, said: “The Dubai Mall is at the forefront of innovative campaigns and events that catalyse the regional retail sector. Fashion Avenue, the dedicated haute couture precinct in the mall featuring over 70 global brands and a state-of-the-art Fashion Catwalk, is today the undisputed fashion destination for trend-setters. As the fashion hub of the region, the Fashion Avenue also showcases an array of leading high-fashion events.”

“By hosting the second Harpers Bazaar Fortnight of Fashion, the mall is underscoring its tremendous appeal to the fashion industry and public, and will further strengthen Dubai’s premier positions as the region’s fashion capital. This year’s Harpers Bazaar Fortnight of Fashion will be bigger, better, feature a wider range of luxury fashion showpieces, and will appeal to customers, designers, trendsetters and socialites.”

Louise Foster, Editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, said: “Rub Balmain-clad shoulders with the Middle East's style cognoscenti during the year's most happening event - the Harper's Bazaar Fortnight of Fashion. For two weeks in October, The Dubai Mall will be transformed into a playground showcasing the world's best style, fashion and beauty. Mingle with models and designers and catch the eye of Bazaar's fashion editors with your signature style.”

The Harper’s Bazaar Fortnight of Fashion in association with The Dubai Mall is open for public registration to ensure fashion lovers and their friends have the opportunity to take part in the 14-days of events.
