Other Israeli sources reported five soldiers killed in an attack launched from Lebanon. In retaliation, the Israeli army targeted Hezbollah military buildings and weapons depots across southern Lebanon.

ALBAWABA- Sirens sounded in Matalla, near the Lebanon border, as Hezbollah launched a series of attacks on Israeli military positions.

 The group claimed responsibility for bombing the Lyman barracks with Katyusha rockets and targeting the Samaka site in the occupied Kfar Shouba hills with precision weapons on Thursday evening, hitting the targets directly. 

Hezbollah also shelled the "Al-Malikiyah" site with artillery, confirming direct hits.

Earlier, the Israeli military reported the deaths of a reserve major, a commander of the Horeb Battalion (299), and a combat sergeant from the Golani Brigade (51) during clashes in the north.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Defense Minister held emergency consultations with army leadership and ministers as tensions escalated. 

Meanwhile, the U.S. State Department reaffirmed its commitment to defending Israel against Hezbollah and Iran’s influence in the region.

While Israeli officials are reportedly exploring a diplomatic solution, Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah vowed severe retaliation for the recent Israeli cyberattack on Hezbollah’s communication network and threatened that the group is prepared to escalate the conflict further.

 Israeli warplanes were seen flying over Beirut during Nasrallah's speech.
