H.H. Sheikh Maktoum Heads High Ranking Delegation to GCC Summit

The UAE delegation to the GCC summit in Muskat this Sunday is headed by H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. The Emirates News Agency reported that Sheikh Maktoum will be heading a high ranking delegation, which includes General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and UAE Defense Minister, and numerous other ministers and officials. 

 

The 22nd session of the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC member states will be hosted by Oman at the Al Bustan Palace Inter-Continental Muscat. The exclusive beachfront hotel has been recently renovated to offer the highest standards of facilities, and includes 15 conference rooms, the largest of which can hold 500 participants, and a ballroom that can host 1,400 visitors for official receptions. 

 

The city and the hotel have been prepared for the arrival of the distinguished guests, with flags of the participating countries and photos of their leaders prominently displayed, according to the Gulf News. Media personnel from the Middle East and throughout the world have also been reported to be converging on the city in order to cover the summit. (www.albawaba.com
