H.E Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director, RTA, was recently visited by Mahadi b. C. Present at the meeting from the RTA were Abdul Aziz Mallik, Director of Public Transport Department, Eng. Maitha Bin Adi, Director of Roads Department, and Dr. Khaled Ahmed Hamdy, Project Advisor, Office of the Board Chairman, RTA.

With a common vision in mind of developing new concepts and services to optimize traffic flow, maximize safety and minimize costs to ease the existing traffic congestions due to the influx of people and businesses, this meeting proved to be promising as its objectives were based on the development of new projects and the optimization of the existing ones in both the countries.

Commenting on the visit, H.E. Matter Al Tayer, said, "The strategies shared by both countries on the future projects will help us realise our goals faster and will definitely facilitate us in providing a wide range of services to our commuters. With the use of latest technology and management expertise in transport service RTA is certain to underline its presence globally.”

"UAE is one of the most developed countries in the world due to its modern infrastructure and management systems. We aim to continue providing an integrated transport system and will work towards transforming the city’s transport infrastructure in line with international standards," he concluded.

The delegates, who appreciated the fact that RTA had a very young team supervising most of its projects, were also given an overview of the Authority’s management structure.
