Hikmat Road Safety accomplishes 100 safer schools in coordination with partners
Hikmat road Safety announced 2008 results which included the accomplishment of 100 safer schools throughout the kingdom; the completion of this phase was attended by all partners who actively played a role as in reaching the 100 schools mile marker. The main partners being; Greater Amman Municipality, Traffic Department, Ministry of Education, and all Municipalities and Housing and Public Work Departments in the country.
The event was held at Al Hussein Cultural Centre in Ras Al Ain and involved the participation of governmental entities and officials who have worked hard in partnership with Hikmat Road Safety to evaluate, sponsor and implement 100 schools in Jordan by making them safer school zones. During the event, Hikmat Road Safety thanked all its partners, and conveyed real life results and stories regarding the achievement of the 100 schools in 2008.

The hard work that all parties put into making the schools of Jordan safer is an inspiring act, and seeing such tangible results is motivating for all to move forward with the road safety campaign.” Said Mr Maher Kaddoura, founder of Hikmat Road Safety.
The cumulative efforts and effect of the implementation of the 100 schools has resulted with a sharp and considerable decrease in the number of accidents in and around those areas, as well as a dramatic reduction in the percentage of the Killed and Seriously Injured.

Hikmat Road Safety is an organization founded by Mr Maher Qaddoura with the aim of protecting innocent lives from traffic accidents. Its objective is to provide help and support to civil communities and government entities to decrease the number of Killed and Seriously Injured through traffic accidents. The main areas of focus at Hikmat Road Safety are creating safer schools, safer streets and safer communities through financing safer roads designs and implementing in cooperation with Greater Amman Municipality and the Central Traffic Directorate.
