UAE-based home fashion retailer, THE One – Total Home Experience, has chosen GAC as its Fourth-Party Logistics Provider (4PL) as it opens its first European store in Sweden, following successful expansion across the Middle East.
The long term contract will see GAC provide a logistics operation covering 2,000 square metres, complete with inbound clearance, full transportation to THE One’s boutique store in Stockholm opening in June, as well as home deliveries to their customers.
More importantly, GAC will be the brain centre for THE One’s supply chain, developing a logistics expansion strategy to support further store openings in Sweden and possibly other parts of Europe.
From Gulf to Scandinavia
The appointment of GAC Logistics comes fast on the heels - barely 18 months into an existing Middle East contract with THE One. Since beginning of 2004, GAC has been providing a fully-fledged logistics infrastructure including storage and distribution services for THE One’s operations in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait and Qatar.

Currently, GAC Logistics oversees a 12,000 pallet operation at its flagship Logistics Centre in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, for THE One providing warehousing, distribution, and value-added services, including pricing for their stores in Sweden.
