Honoring of H.B. Patriarch Fouad Twal in Amman
A special dinner ceremony was hosted at Imperial Palace Hotel in honor of His Beatitude Patriarch Fouad Twal on Tuesday, the 10th of February.
The ceremony was held in the hotel's grand Panorama Hall on the occasion of the enthronement of Patriarch Twal as the new Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem as of June 2008. The ceremony was attended by Church leaders in Jordan, ambassadors of France, Chile, Lebanon, Vatican City, and Palestine, senates, MPs, and a number of judges.
Mr. Ahmad Abdul Hadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Imperial Palace, noted that this dinner ceremony is a simple token of appreciation for the unrelenting efforts Patriarch Twal has made to foster tolerance and cross-dialogue amongst religions and nations around the world.
His Beatitude Patriarch Twal holds a doctorate in canon law from the Pontifical Lateran University, and is the first Jordanian to assume this post.
