HP Middle East today announced that it has signed an agreement to form a joint venture in Bahrain with National Computer Services Company WLL (NCS), which will see the region’s largest technology and solutions provider acquire the IT services business of NCS. The new company - Hewlett-Packard Services Bahrain Company WLL - will be managed by HP, consolidating the company’s presence in the Gulf market.
Joseph Hanania, Managing Director, HP Middle East, said “Bahrain is one of the fastest growing economies in the Middle East, with a number of innovative IT initiatives fuelling this growth. Our partnership with NCS aims to address the growing demand for leading edge technology and services in the Kingdom.”
“The joint venture, which follows a similar partnership with NCS in Kuwait, reinforces HP’s commitment to the Middle East and along with our partners, will enable us to be closer to our Bahraini customers,” added Hanania.
Khalid Al-Babtain, Chairman of Al-Babtain Group that owns NCS said “This joint venture with HP is a key achievement for us, both in terms of partnering with the world's leading IT company, and enabling us to grow our IT service business in the region.”
Mohammed Shalaby, President - IT Group and Vice CEO Planning & Business Development Al-Babtain Group, said: “Hewlett-Packard Services Bahrain Company WLL will offer one of the broadest ranges of skills and experience in Bahrain with the ability to provide customers with the most comprehensive offerings in this local market.”
