HP Captivates Youth Creativity with Student T-Shirt Design Contest
HP Middle East continues to bond technology with fashion today, announcing its first t-shirt design competition for college fashion and design students across UAE.
The designs will be judged by Seven Minutes and Aiisha Ramadan, local fashion designer and the voice of HP’s women’s products. The winning designs will be printed and modelled at the HP’s fashion show when she will unveil her latest HP collection at the end of February, as well as a life time experience of a trip for two to the Cannes Film Festival.
“This is a unique opportunity for fashion and design students to reach a level of exposure they undoubtedly deserve. Technology is not only about the cutting-edge microchips and updated software, but also transcending functionality and personality into the gadgets you use at home, school or wherever you please,” said Anil Kumar, General Manager, PSG, HP Middle East.
Upon registering for the contest, entrants will receive a pre-packaged design kit to be used as a canvas for their most intriguing shirt designs, including a cut-out template where aspiring, young designers will manifest their award-winning ideas.
“I am very excited about seeing the submitted designs - as a former design student, I always enjoyed the inspiration I experienced from design contests or challenges. Given the amount of talented, young fashion and design students in the region, the judges are going to have a difficult time deciding the victor,” said Aiisha Ramadan, Judge and Head Designer and Stylist of Aiisha Haute Couture.
