HP Middle-East were the proud sponsors of the recently concluded UAE Print Award 2006, organized by the Printing & Publishing Group of Dubai’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event was held under the patronage of
H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Technology and Media Freezone Authority. The event brought together more than 100 leading United Arab Emirates’ companies and top players in the printing industry to compete for jury prizes in 13 categories.
The Awards were launched by the Printing & Publishing Business Group to support the commercial activities of printing establishments.

The UAE Print Awards 2006 were given to winners in 13 different categories. This included the Best printing of flyers, Best production of POP materials and posters, Best printing of magazines, Best printing/production of books, Best printing of annual reports, Best printing/production of greeting cards, Best printing/production of 12 calendar pages, Best printing of brochures and catalogues, Best printing of directories, Best printing/production of boxes, Best printing/production of trays, Best printing of daily/weekly newspapers and the Innovation Award based on uniqueness and creativity.
The evaluation of the products for each category was based on certain criteria such as the print quality, finishing quality, job complexity and job creativity.
