Demonstrating that its printing expertise is a work of 'art', HP invited its IT customers, partners and the media to a colourful event during GITEX to celebrate the qualities of its new ink range, VIVERA. Hosted in an art gallery style space, guests were asked to spot the real works of art from the copies printed with HP's six new VIVERA Inks, specifically designed to work with the new HP Photosmart 3213, 3313 and 8253.
Commenting on the launch of the innovative inks, Alya Azar, Supplies Business Manager Imaging and Printing from HP Middle East said: "HP has mastered the science of printing and created an art form that produces outstanding results, whatever your budget or printing requirements. The new VIVERA inks have been formulated to work together with the printer and paper as a system and designed for high speed printing on porous media such as new HP Photo paper. Visitors to GITEX will get the chance to witness the amazing quality, clarity and colour first hand with HP."
HP VIVERA Inks are designed and tested to meet over 80 criteria for reliability, compatibility and other components of the printing system, print quality and fade resistance. With its dye-based black ink, it provides superb photos and great black text without cartridge exchanges. The prints dry quickly so they can be handled right out of the printer and the colours will resist streaking when exposed to water.
At the heart of these new HP Photosmart printers is HP Scalable Printing Technology, a new breakthrough inkjet printing technology featuring a new ink platform that moves HP VIVERA Inks from the ink cartridges to the factory-installed print head. The print head places ink drops on the media, transferring millions of ultra-small drops per second with extraordinary accuracy
The single, factory-installed print head has more uniform and precisely aligned nozzles. HP's new ink cartridges allow individual colours to be replaced as needed. The cartridges are not located on the moving print head, so their mass does not have to be carried back and forth as the printer operates. Active air management removes air from the system without wasteful priming and recovers ink so that it can be used in printing.
The ink delivery system in the new HP Photosmart printers is engineered to reliably and smoothly bring together HP VIVERA Inks and HP Papers. HP printers and papers are designed to work as a system to deliver the best possible results with exceptional photo prints all the time.
"HP VIVERA inks are carefully engineered to be physically and chemically compatible within the complete set of materials in the HP Scalable Printing Technology printing system," comments Alya Azar. "By co-developing the ink and paper with the printing system rather than using generic ink and paper, HP provides maximum protection from damage caused by chemically unstable inks and drastically improves the quality of photo prints. Through our innovative technology, we eliminate unexpected reactions between system components thus assuring great prints on HP paper."
