HSBC has recently announced the winner of its Internet Banking Summer promotion. Mr. Jacobus S Marais, who lives in Sharjah, won an HP Compaq nc8000 Pentium laptop computer.
The promotion, held between 15 July and 31 August, offered customers who used HSBC’s Internet Banking service for overseas/local Telegraphic Transfers, bill payments, credit card payments, cashier’s orders, opening new accounts or time deposit accounts and requesting e-statements a chance to enter the draw. New customers registering to the service were also eligible.

We have not only seen an increase in customers’ transactions but also in new registrations, “ said Lester Wynne-Jones, Regional Head of Personal Financial Services, HSBC Bank Middle East Limited. “HSBC’s Internet Banking service is one of a wide range of delivery channels available to our customers. It offers them the convenience, security and reliability of managing their accounts online in an easy and accessible way at preferential rates.”
