Huawei is currently present in more than 60 countries with over 30 million ports of ADSL deployed all around the world and has been globally recognised by the most important fixed network carriers. In response to the growing trends and needs of the telecom industry, Huawei has launched its new platform IP DSLAM-MA5600 in Brazil. This provides a mature solution that incorporates triple-play solutions, end-to-end IPTV solutions and perfect functionalities for migration, enabling the deployment of IP services for subscribers. The new IP DSLAM-MA5600 solution demonstrates Huawei’s commitment to addressing customers’ needs for affordable convergent products and solutions that allow for flexible interface and scalable coverage.

The new platform provides carriers with significant savings and investment protection, whilst delivering flexible and wider coverage, higher bandwidth, easy and secure integration of services and fast deployment. In addition, the newly developed IP DSLAM-MA5600 comes with WiMax/FTTH feature that enables greater convergence with future networks.
Huawei provides DSLAM (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer) solutions to almost all the fixed network carriers in Brazil, including Brazil Telecom, Telefonica, Telemar, CTBC and Embratel. Since 2004, Huawei’s DSLAM solutions have been leading Brazil’s ports market place, where over one-third of total DSLAM subscribers in Brazil are utilizing Huawei’s DSLAM solutions.
The company has been working closely with top tier telecom operators in Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Yemen, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and China, among others. In Brazil, Huawei recently signed key contracts with Telemar and Embratel in early 2006.
