Aiming to become more customer centric and with the purpose of increasing Acibadem Insurance employees' performance by contributing to their personal and career development and to the service quality for best customer experience, and with the main philosophy of "Value Added Person – Value Adding Person", the launching of AkademiA was held on 18 September 2010. After CEO Gökhan Gürcan's opening speech, the first lecture was given by M. Kemal Olgaç, Board Member of Allianz Insurance Turkey, Board Member of Association of the Insurance and Reinsurance Companies of Turkey, President of Turkish Insurance Institute, Board President of Mondial Turkey.
"Professional Associations such as Turkish Insurance Institute and Insurance Education Center are trying to cover the gap in well educated work force in the sector and the training programs arranged by companies are limited in meeting the training needs." said the CEO of Acibadem Insurance. Gürcan added that this project was started based on this concern and proudly share right now that Interactive Continuous Development Training Academy AkademiA is established to have value-added employees and in turn increase the service quality which is very important in such an environment where strong competition with world's well-known insurance companies is gaining momentum. Turkey, member of G-20 countries, being a strong candidate of EU, and having close relations with Middle East and Caucasus & Central Asia, is one the strongest economy around the globe and financial services including insurance sector is very attractive for global corporate and individual investors and players.
