InterContinental Hotels Group, the world’s largest hotel operator has appointed Ashraf Khalil as the new Area General Manager for the InterContinental Hotels Group forthcoming properties in the Taba Region, Egypt .
Khalil whose previous roles included General Manager at the Holiday Inn Resort Sharm El Sheikh and General Manager at the InterContinental Garden Reef Resort Sharm El Sheikh, will also be appointed General Manager of the InterContinental Resort Taba Heights, due to open April 2006.
Beginning his career in 1974 in the hospitality industry, Khalil first joined InterContinental Hotels Group in 1980, spending a total of eleven years working at senior level within the Group’s properties.

The soon to be opened InterContinental Resort Taba Heights will be located on the Sinai Red Sea Coast, one of Egypt’s premiere areas.
