InterContinental Hotels Group, the world’s most global hotel company, announced today that Anthony P Liddiard, General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Dubai and director of operations for InterContinental Hotels Group in the UAE and Qatar, has been rewarded by the prestigious Al Fahim Group – which owns Crowne Plaza Dubai – as its Manager of the Year.
At the Al Fahim Group’s annual event, held in April, the leaders of the organisation recognised the outstanding achievements of Liddiard. With a diverse range of companies across a variety of industries in the UAE and abroad, the Al Fahim Group has built its success on sound investments and seeking the finest of senior managers.
Speaking about his award, Liddiard, said: “I am extremely honoured to be bestowed with such a prestigious award and it would not have been possible without an efficient team and the on-going support of the Al Fahim Group.”
Liddiard was selected by Al Fahim Group’s Board of Directors for the award out of a tough pool of competition that included more than 60 other managers from the organisation. At the prime Dubai hotel for three years, Liddiard was highlighted for the award based on his dedication to help deliver a record-breaking year for the hotel in
2004.
Since welcoming its first guests in March 1994, the Crowne Plaza Dubai has played a versatile role in the city’s development and has continued to be in the forefront with its food and beverage outlets.
