The International Islamic Conference continued its deliberations.

According to PETRA, The International Islamic Conference,
which is currently being held in Amman continued its deliberations
on Wednesday.
The morning session, which was headed by the General Mufti of
Jerusalem and Palestinian Lands sheik Akrima Sabri, discussed
research that focused on the issues of terrorism and extremism
and Islam's position on these issues.
Dean of the World Institute for Islamic thought and
civilization in Malaysia, Dr. Mohamed Hashem Kamali presented a
research on "Jihad" that focused on the concept of Jihad and its
kinds that are not restricted to fighting and wars, but go beyond
that to include serving the society.
Former German ambassador to Morocco Dr. Murad Hoffman also
presented a research entitled "Terrorism and Extremism and Islam's
position on Them". He expressed his deep regret for the terrorism
scene and reviewed a number of Quranic verses that discard extremism
.
" These verses also mentioned that man should show respect to
others even if they have wrong beliefs," he said.
Chief Editor of "Al Jihad" Magazine at the Lebanese University
Dr. Radwan Al Saied presented a research in which he
affirmed the importance of Islamic nation's unity despite the
differences in its various schools.
"The Islamic Ummah must play its role in building the future of
the world to reach an influential partnership that
guarantees their contribution to building a world society," he added.
President of Indian University " Hamadar" Saied Osaf also presented
a research entitled " Restructuring Islamic World" in which he
called Islamic Ummah leaders to hold meetings to discuss
issues and challenges that face the Ummah and to put suitable
solutions to solve them.
