ALBAWABA - Iranian officials at the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defence installation have denied claims of an explosion near the city of Isfahan. According to the officials, allegations concerning explosions in the vicinity are false and not supported by facts.

The Jerusalem Post had earlier reported that Iranian authorities from the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base had refuted claims of explosions that had occurred early on Tuesday morning close to the city of Isfahan.

According to the officials, there was no invasion of Iranian aircraft. Thus, it is claimed that a local cause most likely triggered the explosion.

Ynet news reports that no more information was given about the type of explosion. There were reportedly explosions on Tuesday night close to the nuclear facility in Isfahan. Reports from local media stated smoke billows were clouding the city's skies.
