Iran on Sunday closed the office of Al-Arabiya news channel in Tehran for a week in the wake of the election win by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the channel said. The Dubai-based news outlet conveyed that its correspondent who has been in Tehran for the past four months had been “informed verbally” of the decision.
On Saturday, Al-Arabiya reported on three dead after angry supporters of defeated presidential candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi have clashed with police.
