This announcement comes on the heels of the United States declaring the establishment of naval forces tasked with safeguarding commercial vessels in the Red Sea against potential Houthi threats.

ALBAWABA-In a significant development, the Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy has officially confirmed the creation of a specialized unit comprised of volunteer sailors. The primary objective of this unit is to conduct operations in the Gulf, deploying ships armed with missiles.

This announcement comes on the heels of the United States declaring the establishment of naval forces tasked with safeguarding commercial vessels in the Red Sea against potential Houthi threats.

Amidst the escalating tensions, Mohammed Abdulsalam, a spokesperson for the Houthis, issued a statement via the platform 'X.' Abdulsalam hinted that if the United States proceeds with forming a military coalition in support of the Zionist regime, Arab and Muslim nations reserve the right to establish similar alliances for the defense of the Palestinian people.

The statement underscores a growing sentiment among regional powers to counter the Israeli aggression and address the humanitarian crisis resulting from genocides and ethnic cleansing on Palestinian soil.

Notably, Houthis in Yemen have expressed solidarity with the Palestinian cause and taken concrete actions by imposing restrictions on ships destined for Israel.

Unless the siege on the Gaza Strip is lifted and essential supplies such as food and medicine are facilitated, all vessels heading to or bound for Israel face a ban. This move further amplifies the regional response against Israeli atrocities.

As the Red Sea emerges as a new focal point for conflict and escalation, the barbaric Israeli aggression on Gaza appears to be a catalyst, drawing in regional powers and transforming the waterway into a potential theater for heightened tensions and geopolitical maneuvering.
