Iran's Interior Minister Ali Kordan on Tuesday failed to receive vote of confidence from Majlis. The minister has been under pressure to resign since Oxford University denied awarding him honorary doctorate.
According to IRNA, Ali Kordan was elected as interior minister and had replaced Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi on August 5. 188 MPs voted in favor of firing Kordan and 45 against.
Kordan initially tried to back his case that his degree was real. Later, he admitted it was a fake degree.
