Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani on Friday said that ascribing security dimensions to Iran's nuclear dossier was not beneficial to the US or any other country.
Larijani made his remarks in a press conference after meeting with the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Mohamed ElBaradei in Vienna on Friday.
According to IRNA, he said Tehran was after a "win-win" game with Europe in its negotiations and would never yield to a "win-lose" game.
Stressing that gaining access to nuclear technology for peaceful purposes was the "right and need" of Iran as well as any other country, he said that his country as well as other countries needed nuclear energy in the future even more because the fossil fuel resources were drying up.
He further accused the Western powers and the US in particular of trying to establish "an atomic apartheid" in a bid to make the atomic energy a source exclusive to themselves.
