The new Ukrainian Ambassador to Tehran, Vadim Primachenko on Thursday submitted a copy of his credentials to Iran’s Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi, the Foreign Ministry's Information and Press Department announced.
Primachenko, expressing satisfaction with his presence in the Islamic Republic, expressed hope for the expansion of mutual cooperation between Tehran and Kiev.
He also asked for further promotion of economic, trade and cultural ties between the two countries, noting that, "The next session of the Iran-Ukraine Trade-Economic Commission will play an effective role in increasing the level of trade exchanges between the two countries", according to IRNA.
Furthermore, the ambassador said his government supported President Khatami's idea of Dialogue among Civilizations.
For his part, Kharrazi, referring to the two countries' current level of economic relations, asked for expanding mutual cooperation in transfer of technology, joint investment and other matters of regional and international interests. (Albawaba.com)
