Iraqi police said six officers and seven imprisoned "insurgents" have been killed in a riot and jailbreak in the city of Ramadi. According to the AP, Maj. Gen. Tariq Yousif, the police chief of Anbar province, said four prisoners escaped in the bloody incident that took place out early Friday morning.

According to Yousif, a prisoner held in a cell with 11 others asked a guard to allow him to go to the bathroom. When the guard opened the cell door, the prisoners pulled him in, grabbed his rifle and killed him, then attacked other police. The police chief said the prisoners involved were all al-Qaeda in Iraq suspects.
