Israeli-Palestinian peace talks will resume in the United States Sunday, ahead of a vital summit, Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat told AFP Thursday.
"The negotiations will resume Sunday. They will deal with a final agreement and the implementation of the Oslo accords" of 1993, Erekat said.
Erekat, who is the chief negotiator for the so-called interim issues agreed under Oslo, said these would concern a third phase of an Israeli withdrawal from the occupied West Bank and the release of Palestinians from Israeli jails.
