Israeli forces on Tuesday found an explosive device near al-Jalama crossing in the northern occupied West Bank district of Jenin, an Israeli army spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said Israeli forces "discovered and neutralized an explosive device adjacent to the crossing," without providing further information.
Al-Jalama crossing has been the scene of several incidents during the past two months and has been closed several times.
At the end of October, a Palestinian teenager was shot and killed at the al-Jalama crossing after allegedly attempting to attack Israeli soldiers with a knife, Israel's army said at the time.
Following the incident, the crossing was closed.
Since then, the al-Jalama checkpoint has been closed two more times after a young Palestinian man -- allegedly carrying a knife and an improvised explosive device in his bag -- attempted to cross.
Days later, Israeli security forces shot dead a teenage Palestinian, claiming he attempted to attack the forces with a knife, and again closed the checkpoint.
No Israeli injuries were reported in any of incidents.
