Israeli troops shot and wounded a father and his son in the city of Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip, as several civilians were arrested in different parts of the West Bank.
Medical sources in Khan Younis on Tuesday said Mustafa Al Sumeiri, 42, and his 13-year-old son Yousef were shot and wounded by Israeli soldiers east of the town of Qarara.
Witnesses said Mustafa and his son were traveling in a car along with other civilians when the vehicle came under heavy gunfire from an invading Israeli force. Doctors at the hospital said Yousef's condition was critical as he was wounded in the head.
In the meantime, Israeli forces continued the closure of several main roads and border crossings throughout the Gaza Strip, according to the daily report of the Public Security Directorate, cited by IPC.
The report said Israeli forces continued closing Gaza's International Airport as well as Erez crossing in the face of Palestinian workers. As for the Rafah border terminal, it remained closed before passengers under 35 years of age.
In the West Bank, meanwhile, Israeli troops raided a house in the town of Doura, south of Hebron, and searched it.
In Hebron, sources at the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) indicated that two civilians were arrested early Tuesday morning after raiding their houses in the town of Bani Eneim, west of the province.
PPS also added that a large force of Israeli soldiers stormed the town at dawn and arrested Sofyan Al Tarayra, 23, and Ayyoub Al Tarayra, 31, after raiding and searching their homes. (Albawaba.com)
